We Believe.
We believe in the Triune God - Father, Son, and Holy Spirit as His identity is revealed to us in the Holy Bible and as it is expressed in the ancient creeds of the Christian Church. These creeds are summaries of the key beliefs of Christianity that have been professed by Christians since the earliest days of Christianity.
We believe that Jesus Christ is our Savior and Lord. Romans 10 tells us that “if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes and is justified, and with the mouth one confesses and is saved.” Those who believe in Jesus and in His promises for us will be raised to eternal paradise in a perfect new creation with Him. This is the single most important belief of Hope, and of Christianity, the belief in the promises of Jesus for the salvation of our souls.
This Is Most Certainly True
As Lutheran Christians, we believe and teach that we are saved by God’s grace alone, through faith alone, in Jesus Christ alone. We cling to the Bible as the inspired, inerrant Word of God and we believe that the Lutheran Confessions further explain God’s Word in a faithful and true way.
Hope is a member congregation of the Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod which connects us to over 6,000 other LCMS congregations in America and dozens of other Lutheran church bodies around the world who share our same confession of faith.
